As a fit black woman over 50, I am documenting my health & workout journey with weight training because I don’t see too many black women on YouTube, representing black women over 50 hitting the gym. I workout for my mental health, as well as my physical health. Since I started weight training, I’ve lost weight, lost inches in my thighs, butt and stomach, plus I’ve gotten stronger and leaner. It’s never too late to start working out with weights.

This workout targets my BACK & BICEPS. This workout is great for beginners because it’s straight forward and the movements are simple.

Push ups 3 sets x 10 reps
Plank w‘ DB Rows 3 sets x 20 reps
Bendover DB Rvs Flyes 5 sets x 10 reps
Lat Pressdowns 3 sets x 10 reps
BB Bicep Curls 3 sets x 10 reps
Seated Concentration DB Curls 3 sets x 10 reps
